At PCIT, Inc., we currently 3 Parent Child Interaction Therapy Certification Training options for therapists. A detailed description of each PCIT training option (and upcoming PCIT training dates) can be found below.
Upcoming PCIT Trainings
Certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy begins by selecting the PCIT training modality that best fits your learning style and availability. The content across training formats remains the same - trainees in each format learn how to use and implement the current, empirically-supported 2011 PCIT Protocol that was developed by Dr. Sheila Eyberg.
Certification Option#1:
Live, PCIT Training (via Zoom)
Live Workshops (via Zoom)
Live, PCIT Virtual Trainings are conducted via Zoom with PCIT trainers and other trainees. The 5-day PCIT Trainings are separated into two workshop dates: (1) a 3-day CDI Workshop; and (2) a 2-day PDI Workshop.

Online (Self-Paced) Training
Self-Paced Online Learning
The PCIT Online Training is a blended course that allows trainees to watch pre-recorded PCIT presentations independently and engage in regularly scheduled, live consultation calls with other trainees and Certified PCIT Global Trainers (via Zoom).

The course allows you to view the same instructional presentations that are covered during the live workshop trainings. However, the online course gives you the ability to watch the presentations 24/7 and "learn when you learn best." Join an upcoming training class or get started today!

Certification in Parent Child Interaction Therapy is important for providing proof of specialization in addressing disruptive behaviors in young children. Like other health care disciplines, PCIT Certification can validate that you have the training and knowledge necessary to successfully implement PCIT services with families in your community. PCIT Certification can also help promote your individual and/or agency treatment services to families and other community stakeholders.
