Vacation Special Time

I know many of you are on Spring Break this week, or maybe you are like me and looking forward to a summer vacation! Or maybe you just like to day dream and think of all the places you might go on vacation. Either way, I see you!

I love to plan and organize things for my kids to do on their days off school. Something I always make sure to plan is how to incorporate Special Time into our fun-filled days. Special Time shouldn't feel like another thing on your to-do list, but rather a time to enjoy one-on-one time with your child. Last year, we went to the beach and had Special Time in the sand everyday. Building sand castles, collecting shells, splashing in the water and trying to catch crabs.

While you are packing those bags for a vacation near or far from home, remember to throw in a toy or two to have for Special Time. You can also use planned activities as a way to use those PRIDE skills. What vacation plans do you have this summer? What fun ways will you incorporate Special Time?
