Terrific Listening

Happy Sunday! I hope your day is off to a great start and you have time to spend with loved ones or on some self-care.

This week our "Praise of the Week" is: "You're a terrific listener!"

Alrighty, how are we going to use this praise this week? Here's some ideas:

-If you tell your child to do something and they do it- "You're a terrific listener!"

-If you tell your spouse to do something and they do it- "You're a terrific listener!" LOL

Emphasizing listening as a positive attribute will help your child to learn listening, following directions, or minding is something worth doing. Listening is hard for little ones, especially when it's something they don't want to do. They are constantly learning the rules of this world and some of them are hard. Praising with lots of enthusiasm when they have listened and completed a task is going to let them know how great listening is and make things more enjoyable for both of you!

If you've made it this far in this post- "You're a terrific listener!"
