In this 1-hour PCIT CE Program, Certified PCIT Global Trainers (Dr. Danielle Campbell and Amber Brick, LCSW) examine the most common challenges PCIT clinicians encounter during Child Directed Interaction (CDI) Coaching Sessions. Using real-world examples, the trainers describe the application of three specific tools to address challenging coaching situations. This program is specifically designed to increase coaching confidence by helping clinicians practice using the three tools to address problematic behavior that might arise in the CDI phase of PCIT treatment. Learning Objectives: At the end of this program, you should be able to: 1) Identify the three coaching tools needed to address a variety of CDI coaching challenges. 2) Describe at least 2 ways coaching can be used to address problematic behavior in CDI. 3) Explain at least 2 ways toy selection can be used to reduce challenging behavior in CDI. 4) Describe at least 2 ways logistics can be used to prevent disruptive behavior in CDI coaching sessions. 5) Explain how to combine 2 or more tools to manage behavioral challenges CDI coaching sessions.
